Japanese anime series adapted from Yukito Ayatsuji's novel set in a school plagued by a mysterious curse. When Koichi Sakakibara (voice of Atsushi Abe) transfers to Yomiyama North Middle School he befriends Mei Misaki (Natsumi Takamori), a strange girl with an eyepatch that the other students and faculty members seem to ignore. With both his classmates and their relatives dying unexpectedly and in brutal ways, Koichi quickly realises there is something sinister going on which may be related to the death of a student over 20 years previously. With Mei's help, he tries to uncover the mystery before they, too, become victims of the curse.
